How Rust Clan Matchmaking Works

The ranked queue looks for a suitable clan rather than asking captains to negotiate every game in chat. Its search window starts close and expands while a party waits.

ELO search window

The search starts within 150 ELO, grows by 75 each minute and stops widening at 600.

Ready check

When a pairing is found, each side has 15 minutes to ready. All starters connect to the host region shown on the match page before their captain accepts on the website. Repeated expiry penalties escalate and reset after 48 hours without another strike.

Repeated opponents

The first 3 meetings with the same opponent in a 14-hour window count in full, the next 3 for 50%, 20%, 10% of the ELO, and anything past 6 is an unrated friendly. Extra meetings can still be played without farming the ladder.

Result window

After play, captains have a 5-minute hold to raise a result dispute before normal finalisation.
