Every Steam-linked CSL player must accept these regulations before entering the rest of the platform.

Goals and Objectives

  • Development of mass computer sports in the game RUST.
  • Popularization and further development of computer sports.
  • Modernization and promotion of projects related to CSL.

Competition Management. Officiating.

  • 2.1 General organization and control over the conduct of the competitions is carried out by the company "Atlas Rust".
  • 2.2 The "CSL" computer sports competitions, hereinafter referred to as the League, are held in accordance with these official Regulations.
  • 2.3 All participants of the League are obliged to comply with the requirements of the Regulations and CSL.
  • 2.4 If a team submits an application to participate in the League, it confirms its agreement with the Regulations.
  • 2.5 In situations not covered by the Regulations, League Management has the right to make decisions based on international experience in conducting sports competitions.
  • 2.6 Officiating of the League is carried out in accordance with the Regulations. Match officiating is carried out by sports staff and referees recommended and approved by CSL.
  • 2.7 At the request of Management, participants are obliged to allow referees and commentators (casters) into their games and provide them with access to in-match information.

Game Discipline

  • 3.2 Tactical three-dimensional combat is implemented and conducted in RUST.
  • Platform: PC.
  • Format: 8x8.
  • Maximum team roster in the League application: 8 main players plus 4 substitutes.
  • Minimum number of players from a team required to start a game: 8 players.
  • Match duration in BO3 format: approximately 30 minutes.

League Format

  • 4.1 Match system in the group stage: Swiss (Double Elimination), a non-eliminating competition format where competitors play a fixed number of rounds and face opponents with similar running scores. 3 wins means level up; 3 defeats means elimination.
  • 4.1 Group stage matches are held in BO3 format.
  • 4.2 League participants may independently organize broadcasts of their matches with a 30-second delay. All necessary broadcast materials can be obtained from League Management.

Responsibility of Teams and Players

  • 5.1 Players and team representatives participating in the League undertake to comply with all requirements of these Regulations while demonstrating high discipline, organization, and respect for opponents, spectators, and support staff.
  • 5.2 Team representatives have no right to interfere with the actions of referees during games.
  • 5.3 Throughout the League, team representatives undertake to provide photo and video reports of the teams upon request from CSL.
  • 5.4 All participants of the League are obliged to adhere to the principles of fair play.
  • 5.4 All participants are obliged to show respect toward other competitors and organizers. Insults and aggressive behavior in the game, on the competition platform, or in general chat may result in penalties.
  • 5.4 All participants are obliged to maintain confidentiality when communicating with League officials. Information provided to League officials, or received from them in connection with applications, complaints, protests, or appeals, is confidential and cannot be published without CSL permission.
  • 5.4 Excessive posting of useless, annoying, or offensive information is considered spam and may be punishable up to and including disqualification.
  • 5.5 League participants are prohibited from using bugs, game errors, and any software affecting in-game mechanics, including software designed to change in-game parameters, to gain an advantage or create obstacles for the normal course of the match for the opponent.
  • 5.6 Participants undertake to submit the computer they compete on to anti-cheat screening when required by CSL, in accordance with Section 9 of these Regulations.

Disciplinary Sanctions

  • 6.1.1 If a participant refuses to open their account by enabling public access, Management has the right to disqualify that player from the League.
  • 6.1.2 Management may, at its discretion, impose sanctions on teams for violating these Regulations: verbal warning, suspension from subsequent games, forfeiture of the game, forfeiture of the match, or disqualification from the League.
  • 6.1.3 If a participant refuses, obstructs, or fails to complete anti-cheat screening required under Section 9, Management has the right to disqualify that participant from the League, ban them from the platform, and disqualify their team from the competition concerned. Where there is evidence that the team was aware of or party to the refusal, Management may extend the ban to the team and its remaining members.
  • 6.2.1 A team will be awarded a forfeit loss in a game or disqualified from the League for participating in a game with an unannounced or incorrectly registered participant, a disqualified player, or a participant who used bugs, game errors, or software designed to change in-game parameters for an unfair advantage or to obstruct the opponent.
  • 6.2.2 If players specified in clause 6.2.1 participate for both teams, both teams will be awarded a mutual forfeit loss or disqualification.
  • 6.2.3 For a team's failure to appear for a match, it will be awarded a forfeit loss and the opponent a forfeit win. Failure to appear is the absence of the required number of players in the game by the start of the match. The referee establishes and records failure to appear after 15 minutes have elapsed from the scheduled start time.
  • 6.2.4 If CSL Management and the opponent agree to extend the waiting time for the team's readiness, this is not considered a violation of clause 6.2.3.
  • 6.2.5 If both teams fail to appear for a match, both teams will be awarded a mutual forfeit loss.
  • 6.2.6 If a match is terminated by referee decision due to undisciplined behavior by players or officials of one team, or due to a team/player leaving without authorization, that team/player is awarded a forfeit loss and the opponent a forfeit win.
  • 6.2.7 If, as a result of disqualifications, one team has fewer starters than the selected ladder requires (eight in Official 8v8 or two in 2v2), the match must be terminated and the team is awarded a forfeit loss while the opponent is awarded a forfeit win.
  • 6.2.8 A forfeit loss represents 0:1 in the match and 0-10 rounds in Official 8v8 or 0-6 rounds in 2v2.
  • 6.2.9 Depending on the situation and stage of the League, CSL Management has the right to decide to replay one or more matches.
  • 6.2.10 Decisions on penalties are made by League Management. Decisions of CSL Management are final and not subject to discussion.

Protests

  • 7.1 A protest must be submitted to Management no later than 3 hours after the end of the match.
  • 7.2 A protest is filed regarding facts, actions, or inactions related to non-compliance with the Rules or violation of clauses of the current Regulations. The protest must state the reasons for the claim and provide a detailed account of the circumstances, evidence, and screenshots or video related to the violation.
  • 7.3 Untimely protests will not be accepted for consideration.
  • 7.3 Protests without evidence such as screenshots or match recordings will not be accepted for consideration.
  • 7.3 Protests against the quality of officiating will not be accepted for consideration.
  • 7.4 Decisions on protests are made by League Management. Decisions of Management are final.

Technical Rules

  • 8.1 Game version: licensed, latest version published on Steam.
  • 8.1 The League takes place on the current version of the game on American and European Atlas HUB servers.
  • 8.2.1 Official 8v8 matches are played on Boulderfields. 2v2 ladder matches are played on Dune.
  • 8.2.2 Sides switch when a team reaches 5 round wins in Official 8v8 or 3 round wins in 2v2.
  • 8.2.3 The first team to score 10 round wins in Official 8v8 or 6 round wins in 2v2 wins the match.
  • 8.2.4 The match must start according to schedule, or earlier if both teams and one referee are ready. The referee must be notified about the start of the game or any delays.
  • 8.2.5 Lateness for matches or delays in connecting to the server by one or both teams exceeding 15 minutes may, at the referee's discretion, result in a forfeit loss in the match.
  • 8.3.1 A match restart is mandatory if required by the referee.
  • 8.4.1 Any third-party software that is not permitted by the game publisher or may give an unfair advantage to a player or team is prohibited.
  • 8.4.2 The use of glitches, bugs, or game errors that provide an unfair advantage is prohibited.
  • 8.4.3 Errors or failures include, but are not limited to, movement through clipped areas where movement is not intended by the map design.
  • 8.4.3 Boosting is allowed, except when players boost to a position where they can see through or over an area that is not intended by the map design.

Anti-Cheat Screening

  • 9.1 CSL screens the computers participants compete on in order to protect the integrity of competition. Screening is carried out using Echo.ac (echo.ac), the League's approved screening provider.
  • 9.2 By entering a tournament, every player and every team consents to screening. Entry is consent, and no further agreement is required at the time a screening is requested.
  • 9.3 A participant may be required to screen at any point, with or without prior notice and with or without a stated reason. This includes before a match, between rounds or maps, immediately after a match, and after a competition has concluded.
  • 9.4 Screening may also be required in support of a protest under Section 7, or where match data, referee observation, or a report gives Management cause to examine a participant's system.
  • 9.5 A participant required to screen must complete it within the time specified by the referee or by Management. Failure to respond within that time is treated as refusal.
  • 9.6 Refusing to screen, obstructing screening, or tampering with the screening client, the computer under examination, or any data on it is sanctioned as though prohibited software had been found. Deleting, hiding, or altering evidence before or during screening is treated the same way.
  • 9.7 Sanctions for refusal are set out in clause 6.1.3: disqualification and a platform ban for the participant, and disqualification of their team from the competition concerned.
  • 9.8 Screening is limited to detecting prohibited software and traces of its use. Information obtained through screening is confidential under clause 5.4, is used only to resolve the matter it was collected for, and is retained only for as long as that requires.
